The NS 40G QSFP+ to 4×10G SFP+ Direct Attach Copper Cable (DAC) is a breakout copper interconnect designed for short-reach 40 Gigabit Ethernet to 4×10 Gigabit Ethernet connections.
With one QSFP+ connector on one end and four SFP+ connectors on the other, it enables seamless 40G-to-10G port breakout for top-of-rack (ToR) or middle-of-row (MoR) deployments.
Constructed with twinax copper cable, this DAC provides ultra-low latency and a cost-effective alternative to optical transceivers. The passive version supports lengths up to 7 m (23 ft), consuming virtually no power. Active versions extend reach to up to 10 m (33 ft) while keeping power consumption below 1.5 W.
