Overview
The NSComm 800G OSFP Finned Top Active Electrical Cable (AEC) is a high-performance copper interconnect for 800G PAM4 Ethernet, built with retimer chips at both ends to deliver strong signal integrity on short-to-medium reach links. Compared with passive copper, AEC is designed to reduce PAM4 attenuation and data loss, making it a practical choice when you want stable 800G connectivity without deploying optics.
Because NVIDIA Ethernet is the dominant platform in many AI data centers, NSComm supports NVIDIA (ETH) coding options on the product page-recommended for NVIDIA switch/NIC environments-while still offering selectable options for broader multi-vendor use.
The OSFP finned-top design adds cooling headroom for dense switch cages, and the cable supports 8¡Á100G PAM4 signaling. It is compliant with IEEE 802.3ck, CMIS 5.0, and OSFP MSA, and can also support 400G configurations for flexible deployments.
