RG-S6580-24DC8QC Switch Overview
Ignition Backplane allows the RG-S6580-24DC8QC to be used as an aggregation layer switch. With 24 × 200GE QSFP56 ports and 8 × 400GE QSFP-DD uplink ports in only 1U, it supports a switching capacity of 16.0 Tbps and a packet forwarding rate of 5350 Mpps. It's perfect for situations that need high-throughput, low-latency, and lossless data transmission — like AI, machine learning and big data analytics.
The RG-S6580-24DC8QC supports Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) over Converged Ethernet (RoCE) with Priority Flow Control (PFC) and Explicit Congestion Notification (ECN), ensuring zero packet loss and ultra-low latency. Plus, its hot-swappable 1 + 1 redundant power supplies and 5 + 1 redundant fan modules provide hardware-level redundancy for seamless operation and service availability.
The switch also supports telemetry-based network monitoring to give real-time insights and simplify operations and maintenance. It supports 400GE ZR/ZR+ optical modules for long-distance interconnections of up to 120 km, making it a great choice for large-scale data center deployment.
