In the Myanmar Telenor project, transport links were not sized from downstream port speed alone. As radio-site traffic converged toward the core, required capacity increased from generally GE at microwave, to 10GE access, 40GE aggregation and 200GE planned backbone transport, with expansion interfaces reserved at convergence points.

How We Used Layered Maps to Plan a Nationwide 4G Transport Network
After the RAN and core sites were defined, we still needed a physical path between them. In the Myanmar Telenor project, we separated radio sites, microwave, fiber, WDM and transport locations into map layers, then combined those layers to reuse existing resources, identify aggregation points and fill connectivity gaps.
How We Planned 4G Radio Sites Without Building Every Site From Scratch
In the Myanmar Telenor network-planning project, RF simulation gave us candidate 4G site locations-not a final construction list. We compared those locations with existing infrastructure, revalidated coverage and reused suitable sites where practical, while building new sites only when the technical requirement demanded it.
