The NSComm MPO 16F APC to 2xMPO 8F APC breakout cable is a high-performance single mode fanout solution designed for 400G/800G data center architectures. With one 16-fiber MPO-16 APC (Female) input and two 8-fiber MPO-8 APC (Female) outputs, it provides a compact splitter assembly for parallel OS2 links where clean signal integrity and efficient fiber utilization are critical. The MPO-16 APC end features an 8-degree angled polish to deflect internal back reflections away from sensitive transceivers, helping to maintain signal quality in high-speed applications.
Built on bend-insensitive G.657.A1 glass and a riser-rated OFNR jacket, this crossover breakout cable is ideally suited for linking two 400G QSFP-DD/OSFP transceivers to a single 800G QSFP-DD transceiver in high-speed leaf–spine or spine–core connections. Compared with using separate breakout cassettes, MPO breakout cables reduce interconnect points, lower overall insertion loss, and offer a more cost-effective, space-saving approach for structured cabling in modern data centers.
