The Cisco ASR 9006 AC Chassis (ASR-9006-AC) offers a highly reliable and space-efficient solution for WAN aggregation in a 10-rack unit (RU) form factor. This Cisco WAN Aggregation Network Router delivers all the same powerful software functionality and line card options as the ASR 9010 but in a more compact design, making it ideal for deployments in space-constrained environments. The ASR-9006-AC is equipped with dual route switch processors (RSPs) and full commons redundancy, ensuring both system and network resiliency for slot-reduced configurations. This chassis provides 4 line card slots and a max capacity of 7 Tbps, offering scalability for demanding workloads. The unit features AC power modules with 3 kW or DC power modules with 1.5 kW or 2.1 kW, but mixing AC and DC modules is not supported. The 2 fan trays and side-to-side airflow (with an optional front-to-back airflow) help maintain optimal cooling in diverse environments. The ASR-9006-AC is supported by IOS XR software, providing robust and reliable network management. For expanded capabilities, it requires additional components configured separately.
