Huawei and South African Partners Launch Joint Industry Solutions

On July 29, iAfrica reported that Huawei introduced a Partner Joint Industry Solution with CoCre8 Technology Solutions, Gijima, Altron and BCX at Huawei South Africa Connect 2026 in Sandton.

The announced projects cover digital twins, smart retail, connected healthcare and paperless government. Huawei positioned South Africa as a pilot market for extending locally delivered industry solutions into other African markets. The announcement is relevant to enterprise networking because the applications depend on integrated network, data and computing infrastructure rather than isolated hardware sales.

inwi and Huawei Deploy 8T8R Along Moroccan Transport Corridors

Huawei and Moroccan operator inwi announced on July 29 that they had commercially deployed a dual-band 1.8 GHz and 2.1 GHz 8T8R solution along selected high-speed railway and highway routes. TechAfrica News independently reported the deployment on July 30.

The system combines eight transmit and eight receive channels with HyperBeamforming to focus coverage along narrow transport corridors. Huawei reported a 13 dB coverage gain over legacy 2T2R networks, an 83% increase in average perceived downlink throughput and approximately 30% wider single-site coverage. These figures are vendor and operator claims, not independent benchmark results.

Huawei MB2 Microwave Antenna Receives a Red Dot Award

On July 30, Huawei announced that its MB2 integrated multi-band and multi-beam antenna had received a 2026 Red Dot Design Award. The product is designed for microwave backhaul rather than enterprise Wi-Fi access.

Huawei says one MB2 unit can support up to ten directions and eight frequency bands, reducing the number of separate antennas required on a tower. The company also claims installation and alignment can be reduced from three hours to about twenty minutes, while co-channel interference cancellation can improve spectral efficiency by up to four times. Huawei said the design had been validated in more than ten networks and was approaching commercial rollout.

China Mobile and Huawei-Backed A2A-T Project Gains TM Forum Recognition

A July 28 Mobile World Live release highlighted China Mobile's Outstanding Catalyst recognition from TM Forum for the A2A-T project developed with Huawei, Orange and other partners.

A2A-T, or Agent-to-Agent for Telecom, provides a controlled framework through which operator and vendor AI agents can discover capabilities, exchange tasks and coordinate network operations. In a China Mobile Fujian fault-management implementation, the project reported lower ticket volumes, shorter repair times and a reduction in integration time from months to days. The measurements were supplied by the project participants.

Huawei Holds a Next-Generation Data Center Infrastructure Summit in Malaysia

Huawei Malaysia held its Next-Gen Data Center Infrastructure Summit 2026 on July 31 at the Sheraton Hotel in Johor Bahru. Pre-event and event posts described the program as focused on infrastructure for growing AI workloads.

Huawei's social material referred to four innovations, but sufficiently detailed product specifications or an independent technical report had not been published by the research cutoff. The event is therefore notable as a regional infrastructure signal, not as evidence of a verified new switch or routing platform launch.
