In the Myanmar Telenor project, transport links were not sized from downstream port speed alone. As radio-site traffic converged toward the core, required capacity increased from generally GE at microwave, to 10GE access, 40GE aggregation and 200GE planned backbone transport, with expansion interfaces reserved at convergence points.

Why a VDSL Upgrade Required Moving Access Equipment Closer to Subscribers?
In a 2017 Vivacom broadband upgrade, replacing aging MSAN equipment at the original sites was not enough. Moving from ADSL/ADSL2+ to VDSL Vectoring introduced shorter copper-loop planning limits, so suitable MDF locations were selected as new remote access sites closer to subscribers while nearby areas remained served from the replacement MSAN.
