ASR-9006-DC Chassis Routers Overview

The Cisco ASR 9006 DC Chassis (ASR-9006-DC) offers a 10-rack unit (RU) form factor, designed to provide a highly reliable and feature-rich deployment in space-constrained environments. This Cisco WAN Aggregation Network Router delivers the same powerful software functionality and line card options as the ASR 9010, but in a smaller, more compact design. Equipped with dual route switch processors (RSPs) and full commons redundancy, the ASR-9006-DC ensures system and network resiliency, making it ideal for slot-reduced deployments. The chassis supports 4 line card slots and a max capacity of 7 Tbps, making it capable of handling high-throughput demands. It offers DC power modules with 1.5 kW or 2.1 kW, but mixing AC and DC modules is not supported. The 2 fan trays with side-to-side airflow (with optional front-to-back airflow) help optimize cooling. For added reliability, the ASR-9006-DC features 1+1 RSP redundancy and 1+1 fabric redundancy. Powered by IOS XR software, it provides robust network management and service delivery capabilities. To enable full functionality, the ASR-9006-DC requires additional components configured separately.
