The NS LC UPC to LC UPC Duplex Multimode (OM5) Fiber Patch Cable is a wideband multimode cabling solution engineered for next-generation high-speed links in data centers, telecom rooms, enterprise networks, and workstation environments. Equipped with LC UPC duplex connectors on both ends and OM5 50/125 μm bend-insensitive fiber, this patch cable supports both legacy OM4 applications and emerging SWDM (Shortwave Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technologies.

OM5 fiber meets TIA-492AAAE and draft IEC 60793-2-10 A1a.4 requirements and is fully backward compatible with existing OM4 networks. It is optimized for multi-wavelength transmission in the 850–953 nm range, enabling SWDM applications that dramatically reduce the number of fibers needed—for example, allowing 40G and 100G transmission over just two fibers instead of eight, and reducing fiber counts further for higher-speed services. A 2.0mm riser-rated (OFNR) tight-buffered jacket and bend-insensitive design minimize attenuation under tight routing, making installation and maintenance more efficient in high-density environments.
