The NSComm 400G QSFP-DD Active Electrical Cable (AEC) is a high-performance copper interconnect for 400G PAM4 short-to-medium reach links, using retimer chips at both ends to deliver full signal integrity. AEC is designed to reduce PAM4 data loss and error risk compared with passive copper, making it a strong choice when you need reliable 400G connectivity without moving to optics.
Because NVIDIA Ethernet is widely adopted in modern AI data centers, NSComm supports NVIDIA (ETH) coding options on the product page-recommended for NVIDIA-based switching/NIC environments-while still offering selectable coding for other major platforms when needed.
This AEC integrates a Marvell retimer (built-in) with max power consumption 10W per end, and supports a retimed 400GAUI-8 electrical interface (8¡Á50G PAM4). It is compliant with QSFP-DD MSA, IEEE 802.3cd, and CMIS 5.0 for broad ecosystem interoperability.
