Unlike passive copper, AEC uses active signal conditioning to improve PAM4 link stability, making it a strong choice when you need reliable high-speed breakouts without moving to optics.
Because NVIDIA Ethernet is the most common ecosystem in modern AI and high-density data centers, this breakout AEC supports NVIDIA (ETH) coding options on the product page-recommended for NVIDIA switch/NIC environments-while still allowing selectable options for broader multi-vendor use. It supports 400G to 4¡Á100G interoperability and uses a built-in gearbox to convert 8¡Á53G PAM4 into four 4¡Á25G NRZ lanes, enabling practical 100G QSFP28 fanout.
