The NSComm MPO 16F APC to 2xMPO 8F APC breakout cable is a high-density OM4 multimode splitter solution engineered for 400G/800G data center architectures. With one 16-fiber MPO-16 APC (Female) trunk breaking out to two 8-fiber MPO-8 APC (Female) legs, this assembly supports 16-fiber parallel optics in a compact, factory-terminated form factor that simplifies high-speed backbone design. The MPO-16 APC end features an 8-degree angled polish to deflect internal back reflections away from the transceiver, helping preserve signal integrity at very high line rates.
Built with bend-insensitive OM4 50/125 μm multimode fiber and a riser-rated OFNR jacket, this crossover breakout cable is purpose-built for linking two 400G QSFP-DD/OSFP multimode transceivers to a single 800G QSFP-DD optics port in high-speed fiber links. Compared with deploying separate breakout cassettes, MPO-based breakout cables reduce the number of mated interfaces, resulting in lower overall insertion loss, reduced latency, and lower material and installation costs, ideal for hyperscale and large enterprise data centers.
